A successful start and an eventful excursion for the trainees
For many young people, the first day of training marks the start of an exciting new phase in their professional career. This year again, seven new trainees were welcomed to the Wirthwein Medical family business in Mühltal to start their careers in commercial and industrial apprenticeships.
The trainers gave a warm welcome to the new trainees warmly followed by a presentation outlining the key points of the company. On their subsequent tour of the various departments the young people were given an initial insight into the work processes. To make it even easier for them to start their training and to strengthen team spirit, the trainees from the second year of training organized an acquaintance day in the Darmstadt climbing forest
The day began with warm-up games and team-building activities before the trainees were split into two mixed groups to compete against each other in thrilling challenges. Teamwork and strategic thinking were required to collect points and succeed. The trainees particularly enjoyed the "Moorpfad" game, in which the teams had to cross a "moorland landscape" together on stable boards.
The sky was the limit
A particular highlight of the day was the challenging high ropes course, which demanded a great deal of courage and confidence from trainees and trainers alike. Supported by experienced trainers and safety techniques, the trainees mastered the challenges with flying colors. At the end of the eventful day, the trainees sat down together for a barbecue to relax and chat along.
“In addition to training, personal development and strengthening team spirit are also key components of our training programs,” explains Felix Klein, trainer at Wirthwein Medical. "Exchanging ideas and getting to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere like in the climbing forest doesn't just promote team spirit, but also boosts the young fellows' self-confidence," he continues.
